PENAMA has become the first province in Vanuatu to have a Marine Spatial Plan (MSP). The plan was approved during the PENAMA Administrative Ordinary Council sitting which was held from the 7th to 11th of November, 2022. The sitting was chaired by the President of the PENAMA Provincial Government Council (PPGC), Mathyphen Lange. The PPGC requested the Maritime and Ocean Affairs Division within the Department of Foreign Affairs to present the plan to the council.
