A robotic submarine has uncovered the sea floor secrets of the ocean off north-eastern Australia, revealing deep-water coral communities and creatures that had only been found in foreign waters before now. An army of scientists on social media helped to identify rarely seen fish and marine life after the submarine beamed back pictures from the deep waters of the Coral Sea — Australia's largest protected area.
