The appointee will work within a well-established small-team in the Institute of Marine Resources (IMR) dedicated to coastal and marine areas. The position will have two main areas which will link together:Firstly, technical work and studies in areas of development relevant to the region. This aspect will be the main part of the work for this post and some development of new projects funds will be expected of the incumbent during the duration of tenure. Secondly, IMR will be seeking to strengthen the partnership with the Council of the Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) and other development agencies in order to enhance the coastal and marine sector. The incumbent is expected to engage and develop contacts in relevant agencies operating in the Pacific as well as stand in for the Director when required, at project meetings and regional meetings such as the Marine Sector Working Group of CROP.Please click on the link below to view full details and to apply for this position.
