Capacity building programmes for protected area practitioners are available in a number of formats. For example, training manuals can be downloaded for trainers or facilitators to work through at their own pace. There are also spaces (and sometimes funding) available for practitioners to attend taught training courses which may include work in the field. In addition, there are many online training resources that are constantly being updated with the latest science and information.
This page provides you with links to some of these opportunities. If your country, organisation or community requires training on a certain topic and is unable to find it, please feel free to forward an inquiry to SPREP who will strive to assist you in locating or arranging a relevant opportunity.
