The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Italy-AOSIS Fellowship Programme, supported by the Government of Italy.
Now entering its 11th year, the Fellowship builds lasting capacity across Small Island Developing States (SIDS) by training early-career professionals from AOSIS Member States in international diplomacy, law, climate change, oceans, and sustainable development. Fellows are based at their countriesβ Permanent Missions in New York, receive intensive training, and gain hands-on experience engaging directly in multilateral negotiations on behalf of their governments and AOSIS.
We are also delighted to welcome Jeremy Raguain of Seychelles as the new AOSIS Fellowship Director. A 2022 Fellowship alumnus, Jeremy brings exceptional expertise and dedication to advancing SIDS priorities. His background includes work with the Seychelles Islands Foundation, a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, and experience with IUCNβs Eastern & Southern Africa Regional Office supporting ratification and implementation of the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement.
