Serious offences are taking place on, in, or across the Pacific maritime domain that put at risk the political stability and economic interests of Pacific island states. Blue crime ranges from piracy, illicit trafficking of people, smuggling narcotics, wildlife and arms by sea to environmental crimes such as illegal fishing and pollution and waste dumping.
