The shooting season for Lupe – fruit pigeon and Peka – bats has now reopened. Minister for Natural Resources Mona Ainu’u announced that Cabinet has decided to reopen the shooting season from the 1st of August till the end of September...In 2014, a ban was imposed on the shooting season after surveys found a decline in the number of fruit pigeons and bats.
