U.S. Embassy Suva is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Research Award for 2026-2027. The grant is for non-degree, post-doctoral research for citizens or permanent residents of Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, and Tuvalu who work as university academics, think tank researchers, and professionals conducting research to enhance academic and professional expertise in the United States in collaboration with American academics and/or field experts. The Fulbright award allows recipients to pursue a particular field of study and develop leadership that promotes better understanding between the United States and Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu. Research proposals should be for a duration of 3-12 months and start between August 2026 and May 2027. The award will cover round trip international airfare, Stipend, Professional Allowance, Settling-In Allowance, and a Travel & Baggage allowance.
