The government is being accused of caving to big business by winding back protections for wetlands. Rules, only brought in a year ago, currently stop any sort of development within 100 metres of a wetland. But as RNZ's Conan Young reports, coal mines, quarries and landfills may soon have a smoother path to being approved close to or right on top of some wetlands.
