Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities are Essential Partners in Protecting at Least 30% of the Earth by 2030

The Campaign for Nature’s goal of protecting at least 30% of our land and oceans by 2030 can only be achieved with full respect of Indigenous Peoples’ rights and with the leadership of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities around the world. The identities, cultures, and spirituality of many Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) are linked to ecologically intact, biodiverse landscapes.
