The Conservation Department of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology will discuss the creation of Protected Areas with tribal landowners in parts of Makira Island of Makira Ulawa Province beginning July 9, 2020. Officials from the Department have circulated a notice in Kira Kira, the Provincial Capital and in the areas where the discussions will take place.
