Mangrove Breakthrough
by Isaac Rounds

The Mangrove Breakthrough is a global movement aimed at reshaping the way mangroves are valued, financed, and protected. It brings together governments, investors, civil society, and local communities to drive system-wide change, mobilizing $4 billion toward protecting, restoring, and avoiding loss to secure the future of over 15 million hectares of mangroves by 2030.

What We’re Looking For

We invite projects and enterprises that align with the Mangrove Breakthrough’s mission and offer nature-based or nature-tech solutions to submit their projects. Activities should include:

● Mangrove protection, restoration, or regenerative practices;
● Blue carbon finance;
● Biodiversity crediting or climate-linked financial tools;
● Community-based approaches supporting livelihoods and local stewardship;
● Technology for mangrove monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV), or impact assessment;
● Mangrove-positive businesses: opportunities in commercial sectors that directly or indirectly influence mangrove outcomes globally. For example: mangrove-adjacent businesses (fisheries, aquaculture, coastal agriculture, sustainable tourism, shipping, or real estate)
