Plans to harvest trees at Gizo’s Mile 6 area in Western Province are no longer on the agenda of the Western Provincial Government. A provincial government source told Solomon Star that last year the David Gina led provincial government planned to log the Western Provincial Government owned site to boost the provincial government finances.
