
National Geographic Society is inviting innovative education projects and research initiatives that empower learners of all ages to understand, care for, and protect our planet. The initiative seeks transformative solutions that cultivate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for a sustainable future.
🎯 Proposals are encouraged on:
🔹 Project-based initiatives piloting new learning solutions or scaling existing programs with demonstrated effectiveness
🔹 Research-based initiatives measuring the effectiveness of educational innovations that build learner capacity to address planetary challenges
🔹 Inclusive, cross-disciplinary approaches integrating environmental, social, and cultural perspectives
✅ Eligibility Requirements
🔹 Project must align to the Education primary focus
🔹 Project must align to at least one of National Geographic’s six focus areas: Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human Histories and Cultures, Planetary Health, Space
🔹 Candidate must not be a current National Geographic staff member
🔹 Open to individuals and organizations worldwide
🔹 Both emerging leaders and established practitioners are welcome
🔹 Candidate must be over the age of 18
💰 Funding size:
🔹 Level I Grants: Up to US $20,000 (emerging leaders)
🔹 Level II Grants: Up to US $100,000 (established practitioners or National
