The Vanuatu Fisheries Department (VFD) is pleased to announce the commencement of a comprehensive review of the National Deep Bottom Fishery Management Plan, scheduled from 16th to 20th of September.
“This review aims to ensure the sustainable management and conservation of Vanuatu’s deep bottom fishery and other resources that are vital to the nation’s economy and food security. The review will reveal whether the management plan is effective, and if not, we will identify where adjustments are needed to make it work,” said Sompert Gereva, Deputy Director of Coastal.
