
This position will report directly to Technical Director Projects – Fiji in alignment with the CI-Fiji Strategic Plan and regional organization priorities, develop annual terrestrial program work plans and budgets with clear priorities and KPIs for the terrestrial team, and ensure their efficient and effective implementation of the terrestrial work program. As a terrestrial program manager, leads the development, management, and implementation of terrestrial projects, ensuring their ongoing alignment with national priorities and ensuring strong delivery on the CI-Fiji KPIs; supervises CI-Fiji terrestrial programme conservation staff, providing technical assistance as required, in accordance with CI policies, procedures, and standards.
This position will work closely with the Strategic Communications Manager, Operations Manager and Fiji Country Program Director, to contribute to, work planning, project implementation and the effective development and engagement with key partnerships to improving national terrestrial conservation management, terrestrial rapid assessment for biodiversity and protected areas designation, restoration efforts, sustainable production of forest and non-forest commodities in Fiji. Knowledge and experience of Fiji’s protected area work, restoration, and mangrove conservation work, including but not limited to Fiji’s REDD+ and carbon markets initiatives.
