Representatives from key Ministries and non-government organisations met in Nuku'alofa this week to plan activities to support Government and coastal communities achieve their protected marine species conservation priorities. The collaborative workshop was initiated by the Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications, and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) as part of the five-year Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) Programme.
