Vanuatu committed to protecting 30% of land by 2030

Vanuatu is committed to protecting and conserving at least 30% of its land by 2030, now that it joins the Ambition Coalition for Nature and People (HAC). HAC is an alliance championing a global deal for nature and people, with a key goal of protecting at least 30% of the world’s land and ocean by 2030. This target is on the table as part of the negotiations at the United Nations (UN) Biodiversity Conference (COP15) happening in Montreal, Canada.
