A recent three-month scientific expedition in Papua New Guinea has made significant strides in understanding and protecting one of the most biodiverse marine regions on Earth. Led by National Geographic Pristine Seas, in partnership with the Papua New Guinea government’s Conservation and Environment Protection Authority (CEPA) and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), this expedition ventured deep into the heart of the Coral Triangle—an area renowned for its extraordinary marine life.
