On the occasion of World Manta Day, the Manta de Polynésie organization shared on social media the results of the identifications of this majestic fish in French Polynesia. These identifications were carried out as part of the manta ray photo-identification program that the association has been conducting since 2015 with the authorization of Diren, in partnership with the Manta Trust association. To recognize them, Manta de Polynésie uses the spots on the belly of the manta rays which are unique to each one.
