The fauna and flora will talk back to people thanks to the Nature Trail Project where QR codes are being put up to make the Mt Vaea trail more interactive. This has been done by the Samoa Conservation Society in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Samoa (M.N.R.E.).
The Mt Vaea Digital Nature trail is live. Two QR codes have been installed with the other two that are yet to be put up. One has been installed at the bottom of the mountain near the short trail, and the other at the tomb of Robert Louis Stevenson.
Samoa Conservation Society president James Atherton said codes can be scanned on electronic devices and the information on birds, plants, and other species will be available at your fingertips.
