
Cook Islands Ministry of Marine Resources has opened its new biology laboratory, which will strengthen local marine science research and provide new opportunities for Cook Islanders. The Ministry of Marine Resources (MMR) officially opened its new biology laboratory, Te Ivi Moana – The Backbone of the Ocean, on Thursday.
In her opening address, MMR Secretary Pamela Maru welcomed guests and partners, thanking them for joining in the celebration of a facility set to transform the way marine research is carried out in the country.
