The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) gazetted the Vanuatu Oceans Act yesterday, following its approval by the last parliamentary sitting and signing by President Nikenike Vurobaravu. Acting Director of the Department of Oceans and Maritime Affairs, Toney Tevi, said the gazetting makes Vanuatu the first country in Melanesia and the second in the Pacific to enact an Oceans Act.
