The Te mana o te moana association is launching an appeal for testimonies from the public to record traces of sea turtles on the beaches of French Polynesia during their breeding and nesting season.

Taking advantage of the sea turtle nesting season, the Te mana o te moana association is launching this appeal to strengthen scientific and traditional knowledge about sea turtles in French Polynesia and Wallis and Futuna. This initiative is part of the Impacs project (Knowledge and Conservation of Hawksbill Turtles in the South Pacific), which aims to learn more about the hawksbill turtle, a critically endangered species whose life cycle is still poorly understood in these two Pacific territories.
