As Pacific leaders and partners come together to advance regional priorities, this side event will highlight the critical importance of coral reef resilience to the Pacific and showcase emerging commitments, initiatives, and scientific evidence supporting strengthened action.
The event will:
- Celebrate the expansion of the Climate-Resilient Coral Reefs Commitment across the Pacific.
- Launch a new coral restoration initiative focused on building the long-term resilience of reefs across Palau and the wider Pacific.
- Provide the first briefing on the Status of Coral Reefs of the World: 2025 Report and its upcoming release.
