The Climate Finance Adviser (Adviser) will support TSSP3 and PNG transport sector agencies (TSAs) to identify and develop financing pathways for climate-resilient transport infrastructure through international climate finance mechanisms. The Adviser will strengthen PNG’s readiness to access climate finance by aligning transport infrastructure priorities with the requirements of major climate funds building institutional capacity and supporting the development of strategies and high-quality funding proposals.
Working in close partnership with GoPNG agencies, the Adviser will help embed climate finance readiness within the sector and ensure proposed investments are consistent with national strategies, TSSP3 objectives, and PNG’s long-term vision for an effective, efficient, and climate-resilient transport system.
