This article by the Ministry of Climate Change (MoCC) is a response to an article published on June 11, 2024 in the Vanuatu Daily Post carrying concerns raised by the Vanuatu Indigenous Land Defense Desk (VILDD). The MoCC acknowledges the article published in the Vanuatu Daily Post titled ‘Traditional resource use under threat in Vanuatu’, which addresses important issues but has misconceptions on conservations efforts that are implemented under established laws that were endorsed by the Parliament of Vanuatu.
