Following the successful 2025 launch of the environmental picture books “Treasures of the Deep and Unbroken”, a new dual-language edition has been released to bring these vital stories to life in te reo Māori Kūki ‘Airani.
According to local environment group Te Ipukarea Society, these innovative “flip books” offer a unique reading experience: read in one direction, the story unfolds in Māori; flipped over, it is told in English.
