Leaders of the Pacific island countries have at their last meeting endorsed the development of a 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, while acknowledging the need for urgent and immediate actions against the threats and challenges of climate change. The leaders reaffirmed climate change as the single greatest threat to the livelihoods, security and wellbeing of the peoples of the Pacific and renewed their commitment to progress the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
