Aquaculture has enormous potential. Among other benefits, it can feed growing populations while reducing pressure on wild fish stocks impacted by overfishing, climate change, pollution, and development. But given its projected expansion, aquaculture-as-usual is not enough. Instead, nature-based approaches will build resilience and prevent the further degradation of our ocean systems.
