Parks in Peril (www.parksinperil.org) is a partnership of organizations across Latin American and the Caribbean working to protect natural resources through organisation.
This 12-page document describes situations that have occurred in different case studies throughout Latin American and the Caribbean and presents the lessons learned. Although the experiences are not from the Pacific region, many of the lessons could assist managers of protected areas worldwide. The importance of stakeholder participation is emphasised.
