The main objective of this work is to provide an introduction and sense of direction into the complicated world of Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES). The main feature is the ‘Gateway to PES’ (Sections 2-5), which draws upon a variety of resources to provide guidance to Livelihoods and Landscapes practitioners and decision makers. The toolkit was designed to be further developed into a web-based portal and as such it provides links to many additional reports and materials regarding PES.
