Nominations are now being accepted for the 2nd Pacific Islands Environment Leadership Awards (PIELA). The PIELA commemorates the outstanding contribution of individuals, communities, NGOs, provate enterprise and countries towards achieving an environmentally sustainable Pacific in the following key thematic areas - Biodiversity and ecosystem protection, environmetnal governance, climate change adaptation and resilience, and waste management and poluution control.
