The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Oceania Regional Conservation Forum took place from 16 to 20 September in Suva, Fiji. A representative from our department attended.
The forum was an opportunity to:
- showcase Australia’s initiatives to protect 30% of our land and sea areas by 2030
- discuss how to achieve the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
- learn from and build partnerships with other Pacific nations
- build relationships with key stakeholders ahead of the World Conservation Congress in 2025.
